Overall I found everything i read every interesting and alot of it is what we are living through today. New Technology like cell phones, ipads, iphones, etc. we have alot going on in the media and due to new technology people are being less communicative. I have experienced this myself because when I'm helping people at work, it seems like they don't even know what's going on because they are so into their cell phones and they are browsing the web or text messaging. I would definatlely say that technology is contributing to economic globalization. Everyone says and talks about money issues, yet they still have the money to buy all the new technology that comes out.
Secondly, the barbie and ken article made me remember my childhood. I never really liked to play with barbies because i enjoyed coloring and writing instead. But all my cousins and friends has tons of barbie dolls and they always changed them and did their hair and even talked to them. I'm realizing that by having barbie dolls at such a young age, young girls are growing up with the mentality of a "nice body, nice clothes,etc." Parents don't realize that there kids are who they teach them to be. Sometimes they are clueless as to why their kids are the way they are. The truth is that in America and other parts of the world kids grow up with things such as barbie dolls who are pretty and slim. That is telling these young kids that they have to be like that. I have not seen any barbie doll be chubby.
Our media tells us alot, not everyone does as they say but most do because they want to be and they want to have what's in style.
